Our students discover and explore through various hands-on activities. Kindergarten students learn their letters, sounds, sight words, numbers, and how to sound out simple consonant vowel consonant, or CVC, words using the SMARTBoard and many other manipulatives. They enjoy reading their own decodable readers independently as well as in small groups. Kindergarten studies include animals, fire safety, life cycles, important holidays and communities. They also participate in video conferences, carving a pumpkin, 100th Day celebration, Dr. Seuss day, and other seasonal events. Kindergarten students study Italian twice a week and participate in special performances showcasing their language skills. They also work very hard to prepare for their Kindergarten Graduation! Kindergarten students attend mass and enjoy creating projects with their 7th grade buddies throughout the year. They enjoy learning and growing in their faith!
