Notre Dame School is accredited by AdvancED.  Our teachers participate in professional development both individually and as a faculty.

Notre Dame School follows the New York State Learning Standards. We administer NYS tests in ELA, Math and Science.  Students are tested in Grades 4 and 6 in ELA and MAth and in Grades 4 in Science.  Such tests, however, are only a snapshot of a student on a given day.  

Our academic standards have always been high.  We are proud to announce that our eighth graders enjoyed 100% acceptance to Catholic High Schools, and were awarded more than $650,000. in academic scholarships.
 

Math 9

Notre Dame School is pleased to offer Math 9 to those academically able students. This is a high school level class which culminates in the taking of the NYS Regents in Algebra.  Students who successfully complete the course and pass the Regents will enter high school with a Math credit.  Classes are held four mornings per week before school and once each week at lunchtime.  

SCIENCE

Notre Dame School is pleased to offer Living Environment to Grade eight students. This is a high school level class which culminates in the taking of the NYS Regents in June. Students who successfully complete the course and pass the Regents will enter high school with a Science credit. This class is a part of the regular school day.
 

HONORS

Students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 may earn Honors or Honors With Distinction for each Trimester. The criteria for each is listed below.
