Notre Dame School is on the forefront of technology.  Our students are using IPads for research as well as other classroom activities.  The number of educational apps is astounding and our teachers and students are certainly enjoying this new technology.  We would like to say a special “thank you” to Dr. John Zaso, a member of the class of 1980.  Dr. Zaso recently gifted our school with two IPads!  Another school family, who wish to remain anonymous, also gifted our school with two IPads, bringing the total number to eight.

Something new!
You will notice that there are links directing you to two new shops at which you may order special Notre Dame merchandise.

From the Principal

Tthings are very busy in the hallways of Notre Dame School!    Many thanks to those families who recommended Notre Dame School to a friend or neighbor.
Our eighth graders took the Catholic High School Entrance Examination several weeks ago and will receive their results in January.  The students in grades 7 and 8 are excited to be traveling to Manhattan to see Godspell at the end of November.
Students in other grades have taken field trips as well.    Kindergarten and Grade One visited Green Meadow Farms and Grade 3 toured the Brooklyn Aquarium.  Grade Four explored Native American culture at Garvies Point Preserve and Grade 5  visited the Central Park Zoo to learn about biomes.

Our new Nursery playground opened last week!  Our smallest students are excited to have a place to call their own.  Our Indoor Playspace is also open for business just in time for the cold weather!  Our Early Childhood students are happy to have a place to go for some indoor play during the colder months.

We are waiting for the equipment for our Video-Conferencing Center.  Please plan on joining us when we open the room!

Please keep our Early Childhood program in mind.  Perhaps your friend or neighbor is looking around for a wonderful Pre-K or Nursery  program.  Inquiries may be directed to our school office.  We will be hosting an Open House during the month of January--one in the evening and one in the morning.   Remember--wouldn't it be terrific if every family brought a family?

God's blessings on you and your family.

Thank you for choosing Notre Dame School.
